Geological Opportunity Ranking Framework

Not all geological opportunities present the same level of uncertainty, support, or investigative value. Ranking opportunities provides a structured method for comparing candidate regions, targets, and interpretations.

This framework evaluates opportunities using recurrence frequency, convergence density, structural continuity, signal persistence, constraint weighting, and multi-region comparison.

Reference applications include basin assessment, mineral systems evaluation, structural interpretation, tectonic analysis, and comparative Earth-system investigation.

The objective is to establish a repeatable methodology for comparing opportunities according to measurable geological support rather than subjective preference.

Within ABC Sequencing, opportunity ranking functions as an extension of constraint ranking. The strongest opportunities are those supported by the largest number of independent observations.

The framework remains evidence-first: ranking reflects current support and may change as new observations become available.
